Nicole Coleman Hutchison, owner and principal of Mosswood Events, is a proud Oakland, CA native with family roots in Louisiana. Having now lived and worked in New Orleans for over 17 years, she officially calls NOLA home.

As a proud graduate of Howard University in Washington DC, Nicole credits her degree in Broadcast Journalism and internships with ABC News Primetime and 20/20, as the spark that began her love for behind the scenes production.

Nicole has worked in the field of Destination Management for over a decade, rising from a Meeting Coordinator, Production Manager to Senior Sales Executive. In 2019, Nicole launched Mosswood Events.

Nicole obtained her Certified Meeting Professional designation in 2013 and is a member of the Association of Destination Management Executives International and the Gulf States Chapter of Meeting Professionals International, serving on their Board of Directors since 2010 and as the Chapter President in 2018.

Nicole loves what she does and brings passion and professionalism to all of her programs.  Nicole is a former board member for the Howard University Alumni Club of Louisiana and actively volunteers with the Kiwanis Club of Pontchartrain, Dancing Grounds, a New Orleans nonprofit that teaches social justice and equality through dance and for St. Anna’s Episcopal Church & Anna’s Place NOLA, whose mission is to promote healing and wholeness of body, mind and spirit in the Tremé/7th Ward and Greater New Orleans community by offering academic, cultural, and arts enrichment; and healthy lifestyle education. Nicole is a wife, mother and proud pet owner who enjoys cooking, dancing, traveling and spending time with family & friends.
